Who are the best candidates for breast reduction?
Most often, people come to us asking us for breast reduction surgery for their physical symptoms rather than because of the way they look.
Heavy, sagging breasts that limit a woman's day to day life cause them physical discomfort.
We don't perform breast reduction until a woman's breasts are fully developed; however, you can book a consultation with one of our specialists sooner if you are a younger patient with breast asymettry.
The best candidates for breast reduction surgery are those who are mature enough to fully understand the procedure and have realistic expectations about the results.
If you are hoping to have a baby in the future, breast reduction surgery may affect your ability to breast-feed afterwards.
Breast reduction surgery might be right for you if
- Being heavy breasted is stopping your from living your best life.
- Are in good physical health, both physically and emotionally
- Are a non-smoker, or are willing to quit in advance of your treatment
- Have realistic expectations about the outcome of surgery
- Are tired of back, shoulder, neck, and upper body pain caused by large breasts
- No longer want to deal with skin irritation or uncomfortable bra straps
- Are bothered by the size of your breasts
- Have low self-confidence because of very large breasts
- Are willing to engage with EBC instructions, both before and after surgery
