Most national guidance will tell you to wait and see if the lump or pain settles on its own, but will advise you to come and see someone if after three weeks, or one cycle, if it hasn’t. Sometimes these changes need to be checked by a specialist breast surgeon like me over at the Brentwood Breast Clinic.

The thing women worry about often is that their breast change is cancer. Despite a lump that might look scary to you or pain that is quite out of the ordinary, the chance of It being breast cancer is very low indeed. There are many many innocent reasons for breast changes.
